Privacy policy
We take the same care with your personal information as we do with our clients' systems. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Who we are
CMS Information Technology Pty Ltd (ABN 32 097 683 139) ("CMS IT", "we", "us") is an Australian IT services provider based at Unit 23, 110 Bourke Road, Alexandria NSW 2015. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What we collect
When you contact us through this website — via the contact form, email, phone or WhatsApp — we collect the details you provide: your name, company, email address, phone number and the content of your message.
Like most websites, our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps) for security and troubleshooting. We use Google Ads tags to measure advertising and enquiry conversions. Google may process browser and device information, cookies and advertising identifiers under its privacy policy. Our enquiry conversion event includes a generated lead reference; it does not include the name, email address, phone number or message entered in the form. Campaign parameters (such as source, medium and campaign), advertising click identifiers, the landing page path and referring website may be stored in your browser session and included with your enquiry in our support ticket system so we can understand which enquiries lead to business. Contact-button clicks are measured separately from accepted enquiries. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. See Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the services you've asked about
- To deliver, administer and improve our services to you as a client
- To meet our legal and contractual obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use your details for third-party marketing.
Disclosure
Contact form submissions are delivered to our team by email. We only share personal information with trusted service providers we use to run our business (such as our hosting and email providers), and only to the extent needed to respond to you or deliver our services — or where the law requires it.
Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure — the same layered-security approach we're certified for under SMB1001:2026 (Gold, Level 3). Information is retained only as long as it's needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
Links to other sites
This website links to external services (for example WhatsApp, Google Maps and TeamViewer), our contact page embeds an interactive Google Map, which loads content from Google, and our pages display a local weather summary retrieved from the Open-Meteo weather service and live security headlines retrieved by our server from public security news feeds. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we're not responsible for their practices.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us at any time to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or raise a privacy concern, by emailing enquiries@cmsit.com.au or calling 02 8004 9251. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page.
