Why businesses call us

Three things most IT companies won't put in writing

You are probably comparing a few providers right now. These are the answers you should be demanding from all of them, not just us.

One flat monthly rate

Unlimited support for a fixed figure agreed up front. Not hourly. Not "we'll invoice you for that." A bad month at your end does not turn into a bigger bill at ours — which is exactly why we work hard to prevent bad months.

No lock-in contract

Month to month, and no exit fee if you ever go. We would rather earn your business every month than trap you in a term. More than thirty Sydney businesses rely on us, most for over twenty years, every one of them free to leave at any time.

A free audit you keep

Not a sales call dressed up as an audit. We document what you actually have — servers, licences, backups, security gaps, renewal dates — and give you the written report. It is yours whether you hire us or not.

The free IT audit

What the written report actually tells you

Most businesses have never had their own IT written down. The report takes about a week and costs nothing.

  • What you own and what you're paying forEvery server, device, licence and subscription, with renewal dates. Overlapping and forgotten subscriptions are the most common thing we find.
  • Whether your backups would actually restoreNot whether they run — whether they work. We check, and tell you how long a full recovery would really take.
  • Your security gaps, ranked by riskMFA coverage, endpoint protection, patching, admin rights, email filtering — scored the way an insurer or a client's auditor would score them.
  • Where the money is goingWhat your current setup costs to run, and where it is being wasted. Sometimes the honest answer is that you are already well served — and we will say so.
  • A prioritised fix listWhat to do first, what can wait, and roughly what each item costs. Useful to hand to any provider, not only us.
  • Documentation you can keepWho holds which account, where the domains sit, what the firewall is doing. If you have ever worried about key-person risk, this alone is worth the week.
Already have a provider?

Changing IT companies without the downtime

Almost everyone who is unhappy with their provider stays too long, for one reason: they are frightened the switch will break something. Here is exactly how we do it.

1

Discovery first

The free audit above. Nothing moves, nothing is cancelled, and you keep the documentation either way.

2

A written plan

What moves, when, who is affected, and the rollback if anything misbehaves. Disruptive work happens out of hours.

3

We take control quietly

Domains, tenancies, licences and security tooling come across. We do not need your outgoing provider's cooperation — it is your infrastructure, not theirs.

4

Then you cancel

Only once everything is running with us. Most staff notice nothing except that the help desk number has changed.

Straight answers

The questions people actually ask

What does it cost?

It depends on how many people you have and how complicated your setup is, so anyone quoting you a figure before looking is guessing. The audit is free and produces a real number. As a rough guide, most businesses we take on are surprised it costs less than the hourly support they were buying before, because prevention is cheaper than emergencies.

Is the free audit really free?

Yes, and you keep the written report regardless of what you decide. We do it because it is the only honest way to quote, and because roughly half the value we add is visible before anyone signs anything.

We are a small team. Are we too small for you?

Our sweet spot is roughly 5 to 200 staff. If you are smaller than that we will tell you honestly whether a managed agreement makes sense yet, or whether you would be better off with a few fixes and a check-in later.

Do you actually answer the phone?

Yes — a Sydney team, during business hours, on 02 8004 9251. Managed clients also have round-the-clock monitoring with the Huntress Security Operations Centre watching overnight.

What if we already have someone internal?

Co-managed works well. We cover after-hours monitoring, specialist security, escalations and project capacity while your person keeps doing what they are good at, instead of being on call for everything.

What happens if we want to leave?

You give us notice and go. No exit fee, no hostage-taking of your domains or data, and we hand over documentation. That has been the deal for thirty years and it is why the relationships last.
